Articulated the concerns of density to the Town Board, as well as the threat of over-development along the North Phillips Avenue corridor in Speonk.

Established a 400+ member email list to update the community on all development matters.

Worked with the Town Board and the developer of the affordable housing complex known as “Speonk Commons” on finding the right balance between the number of units and maintaining open space along the North Phillips Avenue corridor.
*Speonk Commons will be completed in the fall of 2019 and house roughly 72 people in 38 units, using a 60-80% Average Medium Income (AMI) model. -
Coordinated joint meetings between the Speonk-Remsenburg Civic Association and The Remsenburg Association.

Met with community members and shared the details of the Speonk Commons application.

Articulated community concern with the developer of Speonk Commons during construction.

Channeled questions from the community to the appropriate people/agencies.

Responded to all community member concerns and assist whenever possible.

Continue to work with Southampton Town on managing density and development in the Speonk-Remsenburg area.
